Kathmandu is gearing up for the inauguration of Nepal Tourism Year 2011 at Dasharath Rangashala on January 14th, 2011. President Dr Ram Baran Yadav will be flagging off the event. The star studded event will have among its attendees, the Prime Minister of Nepal Madhav Kumar Nepal, Secretary General of UN World Tourism Organization and Tourism ministers of SAARC member countries, among others.
The inaugural ceremony will feature various cultural performances from Nepal, fireworks, plus a Tharu Food Festival and an air show featuring paramotors at Tundikhel. Representatives from 49 international media organizations are expected to attend the formal launch of NTY 2011.
