Travelling is something that everyone likes, just that all have their own personal choice when it comes to whom they want to travel with. There are people who prefer to travel alone while others like travelling with a partner, a friend or with their entire family. There is no harm in travelling alone, but I personally feel that travelling with someone is much more enjoyable. Holiday destinations have a lot to offer and if you are able to share the fun and time with a partner on your holiday, it just adds to the beauty of the trip. I felt that I should let you know what is better, to travel alone or with a friend.
Travelling alone: What it entails
Travelling alone to a certain place may sound exciting and it in fact is, but this excitement is sure to wear off, when you have to stay alone for a long time and have to do everything on your own. That is more than enough for many to back out from a solitary trip. If you are travelling alone then you need to be very careful about where you are and always mention it to someone so that in the unfortunate case that something untoward happens then there will be someone to come looking for you. Not just that, if you are on a solitary trip, your family members will be constantly worrying for you.
Travelling alone does not seem like much of a holiday to me for more reasons than one. There are many responsibilities that one needs to undertake while they are travelling alone and even though this may sound simple, it is in fact a very demanding task and that makes it more of work and less of a holiday.
You need to be physically fit.
Physically fitness is something that is imperative in case you are planning to travel alone. Anything less than perfect health will not do.
You need to be prudent enough and not get carried away by things that you come across while you are on the trip.
While travelling alone, you need to be smart enough and not let people take undue advantage of you. Also, we know that it is not safe for women to travel alone to many holiday destinations which are otherwise perfectly safe for travel.
Let’s compare this with travelling with a companion and find out for ourselves which is the better option.
Travelling with friends
Travelling with friends is always a good idea, because you don’t have to look for company during the trip and your friends will always be there to look after you in case you fall sick or anything bizarre happens. Not just that, you can also take a time out from them and go for a stroll alone or send them for a stroll in case you want to spend sometime introspecting.
I feel that when you are with a friend or any other companion on a trip, you enjoy the trip more as you can share whatever you see and feel while you are travelling or when you see something beautiful. This just adds to the charm of the trip. Travelling alone, on the other hand leads to boredom at times and that just fails the purpose of the trip.
You might be thinking that you can find companions while you are on the trip, but you need to think about this carefully and ask yourself how wise it is to befriend a stranger while you are travelling alone and have no idea about the place.
I am sure that this article has answered you question whether you should travel alone or with a friend.
