10 day tour of Vietnam - awesome experience!
In May 2015, we decided to book a last minute all inclusive tour of Vietnam via Lumle holidays (they were advertising a 10 day tour on Groupon). We booked less than a week before we wanted to travel, and they were very accommodating. Within a matter of days they were able to arrange our full itinerary, which included flights, travel between cities, hotels, and a 2 day cruise! We were met at each new city with someone from Lumle Holidays who welcomed us and provided us with any necessary information, and acted as a point of contact if ever we needed anything.
We had never booked a full itinerary before, normally opting to plan as we go along, but this holiday was the most productive one we’ve had! Every day was jam packed with activities and city hopping, we achieved so much in just 10 days!
We were very grateful to Lumle Holidays for arranging this trip for us so last minute, it was so well organised and they were all so lovely!! Great value for money! The only thing I wouldn’t do again is the overnight train to Ho Chi Min, I’d rather pay a little extra and catch a flight. Other than that, no complaints! If you’re short on time and want to see as much of Vietnam as you can, I’d highly recommend this tour!

Smooth discovery of Vietnam
Well organized, friendly and efficient local guides and hosts, good balance of organized tours and time at disposal of travellers. well selected Hotels with generous breakfast offers (the one negative point: avoid hotel rooms with no windows – eg. Hoh Chi Minh -)

10 days in Vietnam
It was a fantastic holiday, all the activities were fabulous, the transfers were all smooth, the Vietnamese people really looked after us, the food was gorgeous. The journey from and to home was a bit torturous but then it’s a long way!
Mr Danny our Legend organiser really made sure everything went to plan, he even reorganised our Mekong Delta trip as I was a bit ill on the day it had been arranged.
I couldn’t fault any aspect of the trip, Vietnam is a great place and the Vietnamese are really lovely.
So thank you, we will definitely go back and also try other East Asian destinations.

“Vietnam”
Thank you for organising such a fantastic holiday. Your work before and during was excellent, and I have already recommended you to friends.
If I can give a bit of feedback in particular:
Vietnam Airlines was a great experience, despite my TV not working on both legs; we still enjoyed all flights.
Hanoi: The hotel was great with lovely staff who were very welcoming. The only negative point, was that the staff tended to clean rooms very early, and we were woken by them on our last morning, shouting in the corridor. The driver was very helpful, and we felt very comfortable with him. Our trip to Ha Long Bay was also great, and it was lovely to see such a great part of the world. The staff on the boat were very kind and we both would highly recommend the tour.
Ho Chi Minh: Again, all the drivers were brilliant and we felt very comfortable. The Hotel was lovely, more than what we expected. We did however have one bad experience with the hotel. On our first night we were put in a room and the air conditioning unit leaked all over Becky’s clothes. This room also overlooked a building site and was very noisy. We were very surprised they would put any guests over such a site, however I understand that it is out of their control. They did move us, and upgraded us for the rest of our stay.
The City Tour was a bit of a disappointment. We visited the Cathedral and Post office, which were nice, but we spent nearly an hour driving around the City picking other people up before getting there; we could have walked there from our Hotel in under 10 minutes. We were rushed around the War Remnants Museum and Reunification Palace, and wished we could have spent more time (only given 1 hour for each which wasn’t really value for money). After lunch we went to China Town, and were just driven around some streets and didn’t even get out of the vehicle. This all seemed a bit pointless. On reflection, it would have been far better if we had toured the City ourselves.
The MeKong Delta was also a disappointment as it was a long way to travel to simply see a river, a Pagoda and have lunch. If we had known what we would be going to, we would have opted out. Without being too negative, the place and people were lovely; it was just too much time spent in a mini bus.
The Chu Chi Tunnels were great. The driver was very good and very interesting when he spoke about the war and Vietnam generally. The Chu Chi Tunnels tour itself I would do again tomorrow, and the lunch stop was also very good. I couldn’t fault this day. We both loved it.
The rest of our time spent in Ho Chi Minh was lovely. We went to some lovely restaurants, bars and enjoyed exploring the City on foot.
We really enjoyed the overnight train Nha Trang. It was a great adventure and one of my favourite parts. I am however, glad, I paid for the whole cabin.
The Mia Resort Hotel, we couldn’t fault. The resort was fantastic and the staff were excellent – 10/10. We also enjoyed Nha Trang and very much enjoyed going Diving. We have to admit, we were very relieved we upgraded as we saw the original hotel scheduled in for us, and we would have been very disappointed. The reviews were poor and it certainly did not appear up to standard, when compared to the hotels we stayed in earlier in the trip.
Narayan, thank you again for arranging such a great trip. I have recommended you.
