Geography

Myanmar is the second-largest country in Southeast Asia, covering 676, 578 square kilometers. It is part of the Greater Mekong subregion including Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and a province of China.

Although you can find several climate classifications from the humid subtropical climate to monsoon climate, most of the country has the tropical savannah climate.

It shares borders with Thailand, Laos, and China in the east, India, and Bangladesh in the north.

The Ayeyarwady River is the biggest river in Burma that flows through the center and forms the Central Burma Basin which is central to the flora and fauna of Burma.
