– The south: this trip begins in Ifaty in front of the lagoon of the Mozambique Canal. The visit to Isalo National Park is one of the key points of the tour. At the end, we go up by crossing the highlands to come back to the capital.
-The north: discover the most beautiful sites of the North of Madagascar. Visiting the town of Diego and its bay, Amber Mountain National Park and its lemurs, it has special vegetation with tree ferns, palms, orchids, and several rare species of trees. Continuation to visit the splendid Ankarana National Park Tsingy, it is an ancient coral reef eroded by water and wind. The trip ends with a beach stay in the seaside of Nosy Be: to discover Nosy Be surroundings and its warm and peaceful population.

Day 03 : ANTANANARIVO > ANTSIRABE
Breakfast at the hotel.
Meet with an historian guide who will take you in the upper town through many narrow streets and steps. Complicated histories about queens and kings are to be explained around the Queen’s Palace.
Have lunch nearby. Start driving to the south .Out of the city, rice fields and different villages define the landscape in the countryside. Pass through Ambatolampy town and go on to Antsirabe. We take our time for a city tour and go for a “pousse-pousse” (rick shaw) riding for those who want because it is the main transport at Antsirabe town.

Pluméria hôtel opened its doors on 12th March 2016. It is a 3* establishment, located in the downtown of Antsirabe. Day 04 : ANTSIRABE > RANOMAFANA
We keep going on the national number 7 and progress towards the south
Passing through Ambositra town, we go round the shops and visit Zafimaniry artisans to look for a piece of carved wood or finely done square box marquetry. Walk around town and have lunch in local restaurant where you can taste local food specialties.
We continue to Ranomafana, at Betsileo tribe region, we have a winding road; we are at the highest plateau of Madagascar highlands. Arrival at the end of the afternoon.

Located close to Ranomafana National Park entrance, in a luxuriant greenery and peaceful environment with Namorona River lower down. The site is laid out as a local village with a panoramic view. Its 20 bungalows are fully equipped. Local product based dishes are of good quality.
Day 05 : RAOMAFANA > FIANARANTSOA
After a copious breakfast, we head to Ranomafana forest. This is one of the best sites, which the rainforest of Madagascar can give you.
We walk to visit the National Park with a local guide to look for bamboo lemurs, red fronted brown lemur, red-bellied brown lemur…live in the forest.
Make sure you bring a raincoat.
Back on the road number 7, we join Fianarantsoa town.

Day 06 : FIANARANTSOA > RANOHIRA
We leave the highlands soon.
Get a short stop at Ambalavao to see the hand-made Antemoro paper workshop. This variety of mulberry bark-based paper was introduced in Madagascar at fifteenth century by Arab people and still made the same way at this little workshop at Ambalavao. We drive along Andringitra mountain mass where we can see crests towards the south. The landscape changes abruptly.
We pass by Ihosy small town before we get through a dry and arid huge plateau, Ihorombe, and then we reach Ranohira village where Isalo National Park gate is.

Day 07 : ISALO NATIONAL PARK > TULÉAR
Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Isalo foothill. Hike inside the massif with just a small rucksack. This simple walk takes us to an amazing landscape towards the natural swimming pool. Swim and relax at the pool. We organize a picnic lunch at the Tapia forest. It is possible to walk around and explore the surrounding mountains summit to enjoy the view.
On the way to Tuléar we make some stops to see Mahafaly tribe typical tombs, which are painted and decorated, also amazing carvings are erected on them.

Day 08 : TULÉAR > ANTANANARIVO
After breakfast, transfer to the airport.
Flight to Antananarivo.
Depending on flight schedule, we lunch either in Tuléar or in Antananarivo restaurant.
If we have enough time, we stop at the crafts market in Antananarivo for shopping.
Transfer to the hotel.
Dinner at the restaurant.

Day 09 : ANTANANARIVO > DIEGO

Flight to Diego Suarez
Welcome in the airport hall by your guide.
We drive straight towards the huge Diego bay and then to Sakalava one. Then we walk along the beach and pass through the desert Pigeons and Dunes bays.
Picnic lunch at Orangea.
Head back towards Joffreville where we set up in a nice hotel bungalows.

In the Amber Mountain National Park gate, Nature Lodge offers a few bungalows made of wood and local materials. Day 10 : VISIT OF AMBER MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK
Breakfast at the hotel. Start the visit of Amber Mountain National Park with a local guide to this luxuriant forest. This is the first Park in Madagascar; it has special vegetation with tree ferns, palms, orchids and several rare species of trees. Waterfalls and crater lakes decorate our walk. There are seven kinds of lemurs in the forest, we can meet crowned lemur, Sanford lemur ...We might see chameleons, gecko, leaf tailed gecko and many colourful birds. There is a possibility of walking down going back to the hotel.

Day 11 : DIEGO > ANKARANA
Breakfast at the hotel. We drive round Amber Mountain massif with a 4WD heading to the south.
In about sixty km of Diego we take a track to see a rather amazing site: the Red Tsingy. A dried river bed with clay eroded by water and wind for long time to get Tsingy formation, just beautiful.

Iharana Bush Camp is the most unusual camps of bush of Madagascar: here, the synthetic tents are replaced by magnificent natural structures in cob. The 16 bungalows are inspired by the Malagasy traditional housing environment. The association of the materials gives to the camp a very original character, in complete harmony with its environment.
Day 12 : VISIT OF THE TSINGY
The massif of Tsingy can be reached from camp by canoe (15 mn) or on foot (10 mn). We take you to 3h walk with a bird’s eye view of the lake and the camp starting from the lookout point, a panorama opens to archipelago of Mitsio with a clear sky. The trail has been traced by a speleologist who has equipped the Tsingy of Bemaraha in west of Madagascar. The objective of these trails is to develop the nature and the identity of the area.
The walk passes through narrow ways and steep little ladders.
We do the walk by canoe and we visit also the Belvedere.

Day 13 : ANKARANA > NOSY BE

We say goodbye to the guide and carry on the trip.
On the way to Ankify we pass through cashew tree, coffee, cacao and ylang-ylang plantation.
Get aboard a speed boat to cross over the sea during 45mn towards Hellville which is Nosy be centre.
We take a taxi to get to the hotel on the seaside.
Have lunch at the hotel and then free afternoon.
