Day 1 : FLY FROM NEW YORK TO JAPAN – YOUR JOURNEY BEGINS

Board your overnight flight from NEW YORK to Tokyo, Japan’s dynamic capital and the starting point of your journey through the country. Return international flights with a convenient one-stop connection are included as part of your holiday package.

As you travel towards Japan, look forward to a fascinating journey combining the energy of Tokyo, the landscapes surrounding Mount Fuji, the cultural character of Kyoto and the vibrant city of Osaka.

This thoughtfully designed holiday combines an included Mount Fuji experience with independent exploration and convenient rail travel between Japan’s major cities, giving you the freedom to discover each destination at your own pace. A selection of optional experiences may also be available during the booking process, subject to availability and local operating conditions.

Day 2 : ARRIVE IN TOKYO – WELCOME TO JAPAN

Arrive in Tokyo, Japan’s vibrant capital, where an English-speaking assistant will meet you on arrival and provide your train tickets along with an IC travel card pre-charged with JPY 3,000 per person for use during your journey.

Make your own way from the airport to central Tokyo and continue to your hotel. For added convenience, a private airport transfer may be available at an additional cost during the booking process. Hotel rooms are normally available from 3:00pm.

After checking in, the remainder of the day is at leisure, giving you time to settle in and begin exploring Tokyo independently at your own pace.

Day 3 : MOUNT FUJI & LAKE KAWAGUCHI

Today, enjoy a full-day shared tour to the Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi area. Make your own way to the designated meeting point in Tokyo for an early morning departure, before travelling towards the scenic landscapes surrounding Japan’s most iconic mountain.

During the day, enjoy a cruise on Lake Kawaguchi and take part in a Hoto noodle-making experience, followed by an included lunch. Continue to Oshino Hakkai, known for its traditional setting and clear spring-fed ponds, before visiting Arakurayama Sengen Shrine.

At the end of the tour, return to Tokyo, with the tour finishing in the Shinjuku area at approximately 5:30pm. Make your own way back to your hotel, with the evening at leisure.

Day 4 : TOKYO AT LEISURE

Today is yours to enjoy Tokyo at leisure, giving you the freedom to explore Japan’s fascinating capital at your own pace.

You may choose to discover more of the city independently, whether exploring its lively neighbourhoods, shopping districts, temples and shrines or simply enjoying Tokyo’s distinctive blend of traditional culture and modern city life.

Alternatively, a selection of optional shared sightseeing tours may be available at an additional cost. These can be arranged upon request, subject to availability and local operating conditions.

Day 5 : TOKYO TO KYOTO BY BULLET TRAIN

Enjoy a leisurely morning in Tokyo before making your own way to the railway station for your journey to Kyoto.

Travel from Tokyo to Kyoto by bullet train, taking your luggage with you as you journey across Japan by rail. An indicative journey shown in the itinerary is approximately 12:00pm from Tokyo, arriving in Kyoto at around 2:15pm; final train details will be provided with your travel arrangements.

On arrival in Kyoto, make your own way from the station to your hotel. Hotel rooms are normally available from 3:00pm. After checking in, enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 6 : KYOTO AT LEISURE

Today is yours to enjoy Kyoto at leisure, giving you the freedom to explore this fascinating city independently and at your own pace.

Spend the day as you wish, perhaps discovering more of Kyoto’s historic streets, temples, gardens and traditional neighbourhoods, or simply enjoying some unhurried time in the city.

Alternatively, a shared optional sightseeing tour may be available at an additional cost upon request, subject to availability and local operating conditions.

Day 7 : DISCOVER KYOTO AT YOUR OWN PACE

Enjoy another full day at leisure in Kyoto, giving you the flexibility to explore the city independently and shape the day around your own interests.

You may wish to spend more time discovering Kyoto’s historic districts, temples, gardens and local neighbourhoods, or simply enjoy a relaxed day experiencing the city at your own pace.

Alternatively, a shared optional sightseeing tour may be available at an additional cost upon request, subject to availability and local operating conditions.

Day 8 : KYOTO TO OSAKA

After breakfast, leave Kyoto and make your own way to the station for the journey to Osaka. Travel independently by public transport, taking your luggage with you. The journey from Kyoto to Osaka takes approximately 30–40 minutes and costs around JPY 600 per person, which can be paid using your IC travel card.

Depending on the service used, you can travel by JR with no change, or by a combination of JR and Metro involving one change. On arrival in Osaka, make your own way to your hotel.

Hotel rooms are normally available from 3:00pm. After checking in, enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure, giving you time to settle in and begin discovering Osaka independently.

Day 9 : OSAKA AT LEISURE

Today is yours to enjoy Osaka at leisure, giving you the freedom to explore this lively city independently and at your own pace.

Spend the day as you wish, perhaps exploring Osaka’s bustling neighbourhoods, shopping areas and local food scene, or simply enjoying a relaxed day discovering the city in your own way.

Alternatively, a shared optional sightseeing tour may be available at an additional cost upon request, subject to availability and local operating conditions.

Day 10 : OSAKA TO UBUD, BALI

After breakfast, it is time to say goodbye to Japan. Make your own way to Kansai International Airport (KIX) for your onward flight from Osaka to Bali. Alternatively, a private airport transfer may be available to book at an additional cost.

Upon arrival at Denpasar Airport, you will be met and transferred by road to Ubud, set among the lush landscapes of central Bali and known for its traditional arts, crafts and cultural heritage.

After checking in at your hotel, enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. Relax after your journey or begin exploring Ubud independently at your own pace.

Day 11 : UBUD & KINTAMANI

After breakfast, set out on an included full-day tour of Ubud and Kintamani. Begin with a visit to the famous Tegalalang rice terraces, known for their distinctive landscapes of cascading rice paddies.

Continue to Kintamani, a mountain region offering panoramic views across the surrounding valleys, lake and active volcano. Afterwards, return towards central Bali and visit Tirta Empul, a Hindu water temple known for its natural mineral springs and longstanding religious significance.

On the journey back to Ubud, make a final stop at the impressive Tegenungan Waterfall before returning to your hotel.

Day 12 : UBUD AT LEISURE

After breakfast, enjoy a full day at leisure in Ubud, giving you time to relax or explore the town independently and at your own pace.

Alternatively, you may choose to join an optional excursion to Besakih & Penglipuran at an additional cost. Visit Besakih Temple, before continuing to the traditional village of Penglipuran, known for the preservation of its distinctive Balinese architecture and traditional way of life.

The optional excursion also takes in the landscapes of Bali, including rice paddies and Goa Lawah Cave. Lunch is included as part of the optional excursion.

Day 13 : UBUD TO BENOA: TEMPLES & MONKEY FOREST

After breakfast, leave Ubud and begin your included sightseeing with a visit to Taman Ayun Temple in Mengwi, an early 17th-century temple known for its gardens and distinctive water features.

Continue to Alas Kedaton, locally known as the holy monkey forest. Surrounded by nutmeg trees, this natural setting is home to wild monkeys and fruit bats.

Later, visit the spectacular Tanah Lot Temple, dramatically situated overlooking the sea. Enjoy the surroundings as the sun sets before continuing by road to Benoa.

Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the evening at leisure.

Day 14 : ULUWATU TEMPLE & KECAK DANCE

After breakfast, enjoy the morning at leisure in Benoa, with time to relax at your hotel or explore the surrounding area independently.

In the afternoon, travel to Bali’s Bukit Peninsula and visit Uluwatu Temple, one of the island’s most significant spiritual sites, dramatically positioned above the sea.

As the sun begins to set, experience a traditional Kecak Dance performance in the atmospheric surroundings of Uluwatu. Afterwards, continue to Jimbaran for an included dinner before returning to your hotel in Benoa.

Day 15 : BENOA AT LEISURE

After breakfast, enjoy a full day at leisure in Benoa, giving you time to relax by the sea, enjoy the hotel facilities or explore the surrounding area independently.

Alternatively, you may choose to join an optional full-day snorkelling excursion to Nusa Lembongan at an additional cost. Travel to this beautiful island off the coast of southern Bali and spend time discovering its tropical waters and marine life.

The optional excursion includes snorkelling and lunch and is subject to availability, local operating and weather conditions.

Day 16 : BENOA AT LEISURE

After breakfast, enjoy another full day at leisure in Benoa, giving you time to relax by the pool, explore independently or enjoy some last-minute shopping.

Alternatively, you may choose to join an optional Balinese Cooking Class at an additional cost. Learn about Bali’s culinary traditions as you prepare local dishes using traditional ingredients and spices, before enjoying the food you have prepared.

In the evening, you may also choose to join an optional Sunset Dinner Cruise. Sail along the coast as the sun sets, with a buffet dinner and onboard entertainment included as part of the optional experience.

Day 17 : DEPART BALI – JOURNEY HOME

After breakfast, it is time to say goodbye to Bali. At the appropriate time, you will be transferred to Denpasar Airport for your return flight to NEW YORK.

As your journey comes to an end, take with you memories of the contrasting experiences of Japan and Bali, from Tokyo, Mount Fuji, Kyoto and Osaka to Ubud’s cultural landscapes, Bali’s temples and the relaxing coastal surroundings of Benoa.
