Arrive to Sri Lanka, and on arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), you will get your first taste of warm Sri Lankan hospitality; our representative will welcome you at the airport and you will then be transferred to your hotel in Sigiriya.

After breakfast proceed to Sigiriya Rock Fortress (Approx. 3hrs)

Sigiriya is situated in the Central Province of Sri Lanka close to Dambulla. It is a fortress complex of a ruined palace and one of the World Heritage sites declared by UNESCO. Undoubtedly the most treasured historical monument in Sri Lanka and probably the most visited tourist destinations in Sri Lanka, the most looked forward feature of the fortress is the frescoes. Another fascinating detail is its mirror wall. Every step from the entrance to the top is a marvel on its own, and the interesting surroundings makes the tedious climb to the top easy.

There after proceed to climb Pidurangala Rock. (Approx. 2hrs)

Pidurangala is an enormous rock located a few kilometers north of Sigiriya. Other than just being a climbable rock which is nearly the same height as Sigiriya, Pidurangala was also an ancient Buddhist monastery. The white temple building near the main entrance has objects from various vintages juxtaposed within it reflecting Buddhist, Hindu and even western influences. Pidurangala is a more challenging climb than Sigiriya, there is no clear path to the top. So, you must be prepared and physically fit to clime this rock. After you reach the top, you can witness the glorious views of the surrounding landscape and an incredible view of the majestic Sigiriya Rock.

After an active day, return to your overnight stay.

With a packed breakfast, early in the morning today proceed to Minneriya for a morning half a day game drive in the National Park. (Approx. 3hrs)

Minneriya National Park consists of tropical dry mixed evergreen forests, abandoned chena lands, grasslands and wetlands. Minneriya National Park's faunal species include 24 species of mammals, 160 species of birds, 9 species of amphibians, 25 species of reptiles, 26 species of fish, and 75 species of butterflies. Minneriya National Park is popular as the world largest gathering place of wild Asian Elephants. During this period around 350 elephants are seen at the park near the Minneriya Reservoir. And also, the Minneriya reservoir is an important territory for large water birds such as lesser adjutant, painted stork, and spot-billed pelican. Apart from elephant watching this park is important habitat for two endemic monkeys of Sri Lanka, Sri Lankan sambar deer, Sri Lankan axis deer, Sri Lankan leopard and Lankan sloth bear.

Thereafter, After proceed to Polonnaruwa for a city tour in the ancient city. (Approx. 2hrs)

Polonnaruwa is the main town of Polonnaruwa District in the North Central Province of Sri Lanka. It is the second largest city in this province and famous for its clean and beautiful environment, amazing ancient constructions and most importantly the huge lake ‘Parakrama Samudra’ built in 1200 The city has many untouched ancient archeological relic sites and remains one of the best planned archaeological relic sites in the country. UNESCO has declared the ancient city as one of the World Heritage sites.

On completion, return to the hotel and spend your day at leisure.

After breakfast, proceed to Kandy.

En route explore Dambulla Cave Temple.(Approx. 2hrs)

Dambulla cave temple, also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla is situated in the central part of the country which is 148km away from the Colombo and 78 km north from the Kandy. The history of the caves, rock and the temple dates from the 1st century of BC and this could be known as the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. There are more than 80 documented caves in the surrounding area, but main attractions are spread over five caves, which contain statues and paintings of Gautama Buddha and his life. These incredible paintings and statues on the walls and ceiling emphasis the artistic talents of the ancient days. Visitors have to climb up few steps to reach to the temple and the view from the top of the rock is spectacular.

Upon reaching Kandy, check in to the hotel and relax.

After breakfast proceed to explore Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden. (Approx. 1 hrs 30 mins)

Peradeniya Botanical Garden is situated 6km from central Kandy, covering 147 acres and is said to attract close to 2 million visitors every year. It was officially established under the British colonial government in 1843 and the history of the park goes back to the 14th century. It is a wonderful area of well-kept trees, flowers and pathways, some of which are centuries old. The garden includes more than 4000 species of plants and the most important specimens of the garden include palms which are planted in impressive avenues and collections of colorful orchids. Visitors can Just wander through and find a nice space beneath a large tree, by a bamboo forest. Afterward you can take a walk down the slightly shaky suspension bridge while catching the beauty of the Mahaweli lake.

In the evening enjoy a Kandy city tour including the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. (Approx. 2 hrs)

Sri Dalada Maligawa also known as The Temple of the Tooth Relic is situated in the heart of the Kandy town, which is 116km away from Colombo. This could be known as the highest venerated religious place with steeped in cultural heritage attracting and the highest respect of the Buddhists as well as the other religions all over the world. According to history records, The Temple of Tooth Relic is the final location of the sacred tooth relic of the lord Buddha which was brought to Sri Lanka during the reign of king “keerthi sri Megawarna” by prince “Dantha” and Princess “Hemamala” from the kindom of kalingu India.

After the excursion, return to the hotel and relax.

Today, you will be transferred to Hatton.

Optional - Enroute, we will proceed to start the Pekoe trail stage 1, trek from Hanthana to Galaha (about 14km). The walk is through a fabulous forest with enormous trees. The trail passes through a few villages and homes where you get to experience how village life is.

From Galaha, meet your driver to proceed to Hatton.

Check in to the hotel and relax.

Optional – During the period from December to May, in the late evening take a trek to Sri Padaya mountain (Adam’s peak) to witness the morning sunrise. (If the guest plan to climb Adam’s Peak, the local ground handler should be informed earlier.)

After breakfast, proceed to Negombo.

En route enjoy a white-water rafting session at Kitulgala. (Approx. 2 hrs.)

The famous location for filming the award-winning movie ‘Bridge on the River Kwai’ by David Lean is the beautiful Kitulgala village in the Sabaragamuwa Province. The picturesque location of the movie is open to all visitors to feast their eyes. Kitulgala is surrounded by forested hills that make way to the Kelani Ganga (river). A stretch of the river is a heaven for those who love white water rafting. The 5 kilometers upstream is suitable for experienced white-water rafting adventurers and the downstream suitable for beginners. Kitulgala is also a famous spot for jungle trekking, outdoor camping and bird watching.

After the excursion, proceed to the hotel in Negombo and relax.

After breakfast proceed to Bandaranayake International Airport to embark on your next destination Maldives.

After breakfast or depending on the time of your flight, you'll be transferred to the airport to return back home.
