The temple comprises ancient idol of Maya Devi, the Birth Marker Stone and the ruins from 3rd century BC to 7th century BC. The interior of the temple reflects peace and tranquillity.

Ashok Pillar: The Ashok Pillar is known as an important historical monument located in the Lumbini garden. It is believed that distinguished Maurya; emperor Ashok of Magadh from India had ordered the pillar to be erected in 249 BC while on a Buddhist pilgrimage of the birthplace of Buddha. Emperor Ashok had erected the pillar along with a stone tablet that has caption stating “Shakyamuni Buddha was born here”.

Holy Pushkirini Lake: This Lake is known as the holy lake where Lord Buddha’s mother has taken bath prior to giving birth to Lord Buddha. It is traditionally speculated that Lord Buddha was bathed with the water from the same lake after his birth.

Birth Marker Stone: The birth marker stone was unearthed in 1996 AD during an archeological; marks the birthplace of Lord Buddha. It is preserved in the Maya Devi Temple attached in a glass box.

Lumbini Museum: the Lumbini museum is famous for housing historical artifacts viz clothes, coins, idols and other many more items that are related to the birthplace of Lord Buddha, information on Buddha, Buddhism pilgrimage.

World Peace Stupa: This stupa was built in Lumbini to spread the message of peace, friendship and goodwill in the world. Furthermore, it aims also focused to raise awareness to keep the earth pure and clean. The stupa is 41.5 meters tall; considered as one of the major attractions of Lumbini.

World Peace Flame: The eternal World Peace Flame is another major attraction of the Lumbini. It is located in the center of the Lumbini garden. It is believed that, the flame was lighted on 1st November 1986 AD by the then Prince Gyanendra Shah; stays alighted 24 hours a day. The flame that represents peace and fraternity in the world was brought from the United States of America as part of the celebration of the International Peace Year.
