Lumle Holidays Ltd., United Kingdom, is closely monitoring the situation in Nepal following the tragic flash flooding in the Rasuwa district and Nepal–China border area on Wednesday, 26 August 2026.

Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with those who have lost their lives, their families and all communities affected by this tragic event.

According to the latest information received from our local team in Nepal, the main impact has been concentrated in the Rasuwa and Bhote Koshi area near the Nepal–China border, including areas around Timure and Syabrubesi. Local authorities and emergency services continue to monitor river conditions, roads and affected areas.

Lumle Holidays’ Nepal tours remain scheduled to operate as booked. Our Nepal touring programmes are predominantly routed through Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan, rather than the Rasuwa and Bhote Koshi area where the main flood event occurred. The Rasuwa and Bhote Koshi area is not part of the standard routing of our Nepal tours.

The latest information received from our local team confirms that the main flood impact is concentrated in the Rasuwa and Bhote Koshi area near the Nepal–China border. Our local team continues to monitor conditions across all destinations included in our itineraries. Based on the information currently available to us, there are no changes to our scheduled Nepal tours, which remain scheduled to operate as booked.

Our local team in Nepal remains in regular contact with us and is closely monitoring weather conditions, river levels, road access, local advisories and any potential impact on planned itineraries. Some roads and transport infrastructure in affected areas have experienced disruption, and conditions continue to be monitored by the relevant authorities.

There is currently no action required from customers travelling on our scheduled Nepal tours. Customers should continue to prepare for their travel as booked. As conditions can vary between different regions of Nepal, customers with an existing booking are encouraged to refer to communications from Lumle Holidays regarding their specific itinerary.
