Day 3 : TREASURES OF LIMA: A JOURNEY THROUGH PERU’S VIBRANT CAPITAL

This morning, your guided exploration of Lima begins in the very heart of the city — the beautifully restored Plaza Mayor. Fringed with tall palms and framed by elegant, brightly painted colonial buildings, this grand square is where Lima was founded in 1535. As you stroll through its sun-dappled arcades, your guide will bring to life the rich history of Peru’s coastal capital.

Dominating the plaza is the imposing 18th-century Lima Cathedral, a masterpiece of colonial architecture. Step inside to admire its soaring nave, intricate wood carvings, and priceless religious artefacts. Nearby, visit the ornate Archbishop’s Palace and the striking Government Palace, seat of Peru’s executive power, with its grand baroque façade and ceremonial guards.

Next, delve into one of Lima’s most fascinating landmarks — the San Francisco Monastery. Famed for its elaborate Mudéjar-style ceilings and atmospheric catacombs, the monastery also houses a mesmerising 15th-century library packed with ancient parchment volumes — a window into the intellectual life of colonial Peru.

Your morning tour continues at the acclaimed Larco Museum, housed in an elegant 18th-century mansion. Here, an extraordinary collection of pre-Columbian art reveals the diverse cultures that shaped Peru long before the arrival of the Spanish. Marvel at exquisite ceramics, intricate textiles, and stunning gold and silver treasures that chart thousands of years of history.

After this enriching morning, the afternoon is yours to explore Lima at leisure. You might choose to relax at a seaside café in Miraflores, browse its vibrant artisanal markets, or indulge in the city’s renowned culinary sceneLima is, after all, one of the gastronomic capitals of the world.

Day 4 : INTO THE INCA HEARTLAND: FROM LIMA TO THE SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS

Our time in Lima is brief but sweet, for today we venture into the legendary lands of the Inca Empire — a region where ancient myths and towering mountains meet in one of the world’s most awe-inspiring landscapes.

After breakfast, we transfer to the airport for our flight to Cuzco, the former imperial capital of the Incas, perched high in the majestic Andes. As your plane descends, the stunning vistas of snow-capped peaks and rugged valleys hint at the incredible experiences that lie ahead. Surrounded by towering mountains, you’ll feel transported into a realm of Inca legend and Andean wonder.

From Cuzco, we journey overland into the fertile Sacred Valley of the Incas — a breathtaking region where dramatic cliffs rise above lush fields fed by the winding Urubamba River. This serene valley, once the heart of Inca agriculture and spirituality, is dotted with timeless villages and formidable stone fortresses.

Our first stop is the remarkable Ollantaytambo Fortress, an astonishing example of Inca engineering and a site of fierce resistance against Spanish conquest. Climb its massive stone terraces for sweeping views of the valley and admire the precision-crafted stone walls that have stood unyielding for centuries.

We then visit Pisac, a charming village famous for its colourful market and ancient Inca ruins. Wander among stalls brimming with handwoven textiles, silver jewellery, and traditional crafts, before exploring the nearby stone citadel clinging to the mountainside — a vivid reminder of Inca ingenuity and spirituality.

By late afternoon, we arrive at your welcoming accommodation in the heart of the Sacred Valley. The evening is yours to relax and absorb the mystical beauty of this extraordinary setting — a perfect prelude to tomorrow’s unforgettable journey to Machu Picchu.

Day 5 : THE LOST CITADEL OF THE INCAS: UNVEILING THE MYSTERIES OF MACHU PICCHU

Few moments in travel compare to your first glimpse of Machu Picchu — one of the world’s most iconic archaeological sites and an enduring symbol of Inca genius. Today promises to be a true highlight of your journey through Latin America, as we step into the pages of history and explore this breathtaking UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After an early breakfast, we board the scenic Vistadome train, which winds its way through the spectacular Sacred Valley. As the train hugs the river and weaves between soaring Andean peaks, dramatic vistas unfold around every bend — a mesmerising journey that builds anticipation for the wonders to come.

Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, we continue by coach up the switchback road to the cloud-kissed terraces of Machu Picchu. As the ancient stone walls emerge through the mist, the sense of awe is undeniable. Walk in the footsteps of Inca rulers and imagine the thrill of American explorer Hiram Bingham, who brought this long-forgotten citadel to the world’s attention in 1911.

With your expert guide, uncover the secrets of this magnificent city: the Temple of the Sun, the Royal Tomb, the Intihuatana sundial, and the astonishing agricultural terraces that cling to the mountain slopes. The harmonious integration of architecture with the surrounding natural beauty leaves an indelible impression.

After the guided tour, enjoy free time to absorb the magic of Machu Picchu at your own pace — whether you linger over its masterful stonework, find a quiet spot to reflect, or simply marvel at the sheer ingenuity of this ancient civilisation.

Day 6 : IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF INCA WARRIORS: SACSAYHUAMAN & THE ANCIENT STREETS OF CUZCO

Today, we journey to one of the most astonishing engineering feats of the Inca Empire — the mighty fortress of Sacsayhuaman. Set high above the red-tiled rooftops of Cuzco, this extraordinary site offers sweeping panoramic views over the city and the dramatic Andean landscape beyond.

Here, amid the towering stone walls, it is easy to picture the fierce battles of 400 years ago, when Inca warriors launched daring assaults against Spanish-held Cuzco. Marvel at the colossal blocks — some weighing up to 200 tonnes — which fit together so precisely that not even a sheet of paper can pass between them. The craftsmanship on display at Sacsayhuaman stands as a testament to the unmatched skill of Inca stonemasons.

After ample time to explore this evocative site and soak in the majestic setting, we return to the historic heart of Cuzco for a guided city tour. Once the spiritual and administrative capital of the Inca Empire, Cuzco remains a place where past and present coexist in colourful harmony. Colonial architecture rises atop ancient Inca foundations, while vibrant markets and traditional festivals keep the spirit of the Andes alive.

Stroll through lively squares and cobbled streets, where the echoes of history are ever-present. Discover sacred Inca sites hidden beneath Spanish churches, admire exquisite colonial mansions, and feel the pulse of a city that still honours its rich indigenous heritage.

The afternoon is free for you to continue exploring Cuzco at your own pace. Perhaps visit one of the city’s renowned artisan workshops, sip coca tea in a charming café, or simply sit back and watch the rhythms of daily life unfold in this captivating Andean city — where the mountains meet the Amazon and the past lives vibrantly in the present.

You might choose to explore the city’s renowned museums and galleries, sample Chilean wines in a stylish bodega, or simply soak up the atmosphere in one of Santiago’s leafy plazas. The city’s cosmopolitan charms and Andean backdrop ensure a memorable day of discovery.

Day 9 : CHILE’S COASTAL CHARMS: VALPARAíSO, VIñA DEL MAR & FINE WINES

Today offers a fascinating contrast to the urban energy of Santiago as we head north to explore two of Chile’s most captivating coastal cities — the bohemian port of Valparaíso and the refined seaside resort of Viña del Mar.

Our full-day excursion begins with a scenic drive through the picturesque Chilean countryside, passing rolling vineyards and mountain-fringed valleys. We soon arrive in Valparaíso, Chile’s principal port and a city like no other — a colourful maze of winding streets and steep stairways cascading over 42 hills above the Pacific Ocean.

Once a vital hub of 19th-century British trade, Valparaíso still exudes an old-world charm, with faded mansions and Victorian-era architecture clinging to its vertiginous slopes. Your guide will share tales of the city’s turbulent past — from pirate raids to heroic fortifications — as we explore the UNESCO-listed historic quarter. Ride a vintage funicular up to panoramic viewpoints, wander through vibrant neighbourhoods adorned with bold street art, and soak up the city’s gritty, creative spirit.

In stark contrast, nearby Viña del Mar offers a taste of elegant seaside life. Known as the ‘Garden City,’ Viña charms visitors with its immaculate parks, palm-lined avenues, and beautiful golden beaches. Take time to stroll through manicured gardens and admire the town’s grand villas and iconic flower clock — a favourite photo spot.

On our return to Santiago, we stop at an award-winning winery nestled amid the sun-drenched Chilean wine country. Here, an expert sommelier leads us on a brief tour of the vineyards and cellars, followed by a tasting of premium local wines — the perfect way to toast an enriching day on the Chilean coast.

Day 10 : TO CHILE’S LAKE DISTRICT: VOLCANOES, GLACIAL LAKES & THE BEAUTY OF PUERTO VARAS

This morning, we leave behind the cosmopolitan buzz of Santiago as we fly south to Puerto Montt — gateway to one of Chile’s most spectacular natural regions. The towering volcanoes, deep blue glacial lakes and pristine national parks of the Chilean Lake District beckon.

Upon arrival, we embark on a short orientation tour of Puerto Montt. Founded by German settlers in the 19th century, this thriving port city sits at the head of the Reloncaví Sound. We pause at panoramic viewpoints overlooking Reloncaví Bay and the bustling Angelmó Bay — home to a lively fish market and colourful waterfront lined with seafood stalls and artisan crafts.

Bariloche’s picturesque setting and European alpine atmosphere are no coincidence. In the early 20th century, Swiss, Austrian, and German settlers brought their traditions, architecture, and flavours to this corner of Argentina — creating a mountain town that blends Patagonian wilderness with old-world charm.

Our morning begins with a scenic tour of the surrounding region. We stop first at the foot of Campanario Mountain, where an optional chairlift offers panoramic views over the vast lake system and snow-capped Andean peaks — one of the most stunning vistas in all of Patagonia.

Next, we explore the serene Llao Llao Peninsula, home to forests of native coihue trees, crystal-clear lakes, and iconic landmarks of Bariloche’s alpine elegance. The peninsula offers endless postcard-worthy scenery at every turn.

We continue to the Angostura River, a slender waterway flowing between Lakes Nahuel Huapi and Moreno, set in the shadow of the imposing Lopez Mountains. This tranquil spot offers yet another chance to soak in the region’s natural splendour and crisp mountain air.

The afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure. Adventurers may wish to explore one of Bariloche’s scenic hiking trails that wind through forested hills and open to panoramic viewpoints. For those seeking a more indulgent experience, Bariloche is famed for its artisan chocolate — a legacy of its European heritage — and a visit to one of the town’s renowned chocolatiers is highly recommended.

Whether on foot or by flavour, today offers a rich and rewarding taste of the unique charm that makes Bariloche one of Argentina’s most beloved destinations.

Day 17 : IGUAZU FALLS IN FULL VIEW: PANORAMAS & RAINFOREST SPLENDOUR

Today we experience Iguazu Falls from a brand-new perspective — this time from the Brazilian side, where sweeping panoramic views reveal the full majesty of this natural wonder in all its glory.
