The Itinerary

Day 1: UNVEILING BOGOTÁ’S COLONIAL HEART

Following a hearty breakfast at the hotel, embark on a guided panoramic tour of Bogotá’s historic centre, steeped in colonial charm. Wander through streets flanked by architectural gems and visit the Banco de la República Art Museum, home to the world’s largest collection of Botero art.

Next, discover Plaza de Bolívar, the city’s bustling main square, surrounded by landmarks like the Palacio de San Carlos and Casa de Nariño. Marvel at the Gold Museum’s extraordinary displays of ancient treasures, then ascend to the Cerro de Monserrate for a panoramic view of Bogotá. The afternoon is free for you to soak up Bogotá’s vibrant atmosphere and perhaps savour a cup of the famed Santa Fe hot chocolate.

Note: The Gold Museum is closed on Mondays, the Botero Museum on Tuesdays, and Cerro de Monserrate is not accessible on Sundays; instead, you’ll explore the Casa Quinta de Bolívar Museum.

Day 2: JOURNEY TO THE HEART OF COFFEE COUNTRY – ARMENIA

Following breakfast, transfer to the airport for a flight to Armenia, nestled in Colombia’s lush Coffee Axis. Upon arrival, embrace the charm of rolling coffee plantations and scenic valleys. For a deeper dive into Colombia’s coffee heritage, consider our optional tour to Hacienda Combia, where you’ll experience a hands-on journey through the stages of coffee production.

Optional Excursion – Hacienda Combia: Sip on a welcome drink before touring the hacienda, learning about the coffee-making process from bean to cup, and sampling some of Colombia’s finest coffee varieties.

Day 3: EXPLORING FILANDIA AND THE MAGICAL COCORA VALLEY

Start your day with breakfast, then venture to the colourful colonial town of Filandia for a guided stroll through picturesque streets, past vibrant façades and the parish María Inmaculada. Admire the sweeping views from the Quindío viewpoint before journeying to the Cocora Valley. Upon arrival, enjoy a traditional canelazo cocktail before trekking through the cloud forest, where you’ll encounter remarkable biodiversity and the towering wax palms, Colombia’s national tree.

Afterwards, explore Salento with its bustling Bolívar Square, lively Royal Street, and artisanal workshops.

Day 4: MEDELLÍN – THE CITY OF ETERNAL SPRING

Following breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Medellín, famed for its year-round spring-like climate. Day 5: MEDELLÍN’S TRANSFORMATION AND ARTISTIC SPIRIT

Take the cable car up to La Sierra and Comuna 13, neighbourhoods that have transformed from tumultuous pasts to vibrant cultural hubs thanks to art and social initiatives. Discover the profound impact of street art and music on these communities. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure to explore more of Medellín’s artistic spirit.

Day 6: DISCOVER MEDELLÍN AT YOUR OWN PACE

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, and spend the day as you please. Explore El Poblado neighbourhood, renowned for its upscale dining and trendy boutiques. For an unforgettable excursion, consider a day trip to Guatapé.

Optional Excursion – Peñón de Guatapé: Discover the colonial town of Marinilla, famed for its musical heritage, then ascend the iconic Peñón de Guatapé for spectacular views. Cap off your visit with a peaceful walk along the reservoir.

Day 7: MEDELLÍN TO CARTAGENA DE INDIAS – DISCOVER COLOMBIA’S CARIBBEAN GEM

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Cartagena de Indias, a jewel on Colombia’s Caribbean coast. On arrival, you’ll transfer to your hotel and be welcomed by the city’s vibrant energy and colonial charm. Cartagena, one of Colombia’s primary ports, is a colourful blend of historic architecture, tropical plazas, and lively streets.

This up-and-coming city offers a fantastic selection of bars, restaurants, and boutiques nestled in its picturesque neighbourhoods. Spend the day exploring Cartagena’s leafy plazas and winding cobbled streets, soaking in the city’s coastal vibe.

Day 8: SUN, SEA, AND SERENITY AT ROSARIO ISLANDS

Begin the day with breakfast, then transfer to the port for a scenic boat ride to the Rosario Islands. As you cruise past Cartagena Bay and Boca Chica, marvel at the historic forts of San Fernando and San José. Spend the day basking on pristine beaches, swimming, and snorkelling in warm Caribbean waters. Relish a seafood lunch before returning to Cartagena for a relaxed evening.

Note: The San Martín de Pajares Aquarium is closed on Mondays and occasionally on Tuesdays.

For a deeper look into this beautiful city, consider an optional panoramic tour to explore Bocagrande, Castillogrande, and the iconic San Felipe Castle. Day 10: FAREWELL TO COLOMBIA
