Press Release: India Travel Update
Following recent developments at the Kashmir border, Lumle Holidays wishes to reassure all travellers and partners that travel across India remains safe, stable, and fully operational. The situation on the ground is calm and well under control, with no disruptions to travel or tourism services in popular regions such as Delhi, Rajasthan, Kerala, Goa, and beyond.
A strategic air strike was conducted by the Indian Armed Forces late last night, targeting specific locations in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in response to a recent incident in Pahalgam. This has led to a temporary suspension of flights until 12:00 Noon IST on 7 May 2025 at selected northern airports including Srinagar, Leh, Jammu, Amritsar, Chandigarh, and Dharamshala. All other airports and domestic connections across India are operating as scheduled.
Our partners on the ground confirm that all tourists currently in India are safe and continuing their tours as planned. Trains are running at full capacity, monuments and attractions are open, and daily sightseeing programmes are proceeding without interruption. Additionally, routine civil safety drills are being conducted in select regions purely as a precautionary and educational measure.
