Mount Kailash Mansarovar trips for 2014 are over now. However, Mount Kailash trips for 2015 will observe huge rates hike. The authorities have announced new rule for Mount Kailash Mansarovar trips for 2015 which has impacted a direct and quite a bit hike in Mount Kailash trip costs.
Under newly introduced rule, only 17 guests including driver, guide and policeman can be carried by a bus/coach whereas under old rule it was around at least 25 people. The low cap on no. of passenger has resulted higher proportion of transport costs per person. As a result, hike on the cost will be approximately £200 per person.
The authorities has taken such step to prevent several accidents have taken place in Tibet. The authorities have expressed that this step would prevent and minimize accident that used to take place due to bus/coach carrying overloaded passengers.
