The best time to travel to Oman is between October and March as the temperatures and weather is comfortable and cool.
UK Citizens can visit Oman for up to 14 days without a visa. If you overstay or do not extend your visa or residency, the Omani authorities may fine and detain you. Fines can be up to 10 Omani rials a day, with a total maximum fine of 500 rials. A valid passport is compulsory. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months before the date of entry to Oman. The currency used in the country is Omani rial (OMR). Mastercard and Visa are also accepted and ATM machines are available.
Many residents of major cities speak English, however, not everyone is guaranteed to know the language.
The official language is Arabic.
